Plain terms for a plain product: 31 published analyses, a free tier that carries all of them, and — when they open — paid tiers that add cadence and convenience. Nothing here is drafted to win an argument later.

Current status

The free tier is live. Paid subscriptions are not open and no payment is being taken. The clauses about subscriptions describe what will apply when they open. Nothing on this site has charged anyone.

1. What this is

Landed Math publishes analysis of Chinese trade policy, platform rules and supply chains, converted into per-unit landed cost. Every figure carries a value, a unit, a period, a named source and the date it was retrieved. Analysis is published on the open web; the pricing page lists what is free and what will be paid.

2. Not advice

Nothing here is legal, tax, customs, financial or accounting advice, and it is not a substitute for a customs broker, a freight forwarder or a lawyer. The cost tables are arithmetic on stated inputs — often inputs you supply, such as your goods value, your funding rate and your storage charge. Change an input and the answer changes. Each article's calculation section names the inputs and shows the working, so the result can be checked and reproduced rather than taken on trust.

You are responsible for verifying anything before you rely on it. Every claim traces to a named primary source with a retrieval date, which is exactly so that you can check it against the instrument yourself.

3. Corrections

When a published figure turns out to be wrong, the article is corrected in public: the change is recorded on the article, the date is moved, and the correction is visible rather than silent. Each article states which claims are established by a primary source and which are the analyst's inference, and each carries a section on what would falsify its conclusion.

4. Subscriptions, when they open

Paid tiers have not opened yet. When they do, these will apply:

5. Refunds

See the refund policy. In short: if a paid tier is not what it said it was, ask and it is refunded; the policy states the window and the process rather than leaving it to discretion.

6. What you may do with the material

Read it, quote it, cite it, use the numbers in your own work, and link to it. That is the point of publishing figures with their sources. What is not permitted is republishing the analysis in full as your own, or reselling it. Quoting a figure with its source named is always fine — the citation block on each instrument page shows the form.

7. Availability

The site is a static publication with no servers to go down, but no uptime is promised and no service level is offered. Email delivery depends on providers and filters outside anyone's control here, which is why there is a page on making sure the emails arrive.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Landed Math is not liable for commercial decisions taken on the basis of this analysis. That is not a disclaimer of responsibility for accuracy — the sourcing rules and the correction record are the substance of that — it is a statement that a calculation on your inputs cannot be a guarantee about your shipment.

9. Contact

Anything on this page, including a refund request or a correction: hello@landedmath.com. Corrections are welcome and are the fastest way to get a figure fixed.

Not legal advice, and not drafted by a lawyer: it is the clearest statement of the actual arrangement that could be written without one. It should be reviewed by a lawyer before paid subscriptions open.
