The EU opened an anti-dumping case on Chinese cellulose ethers on 24 September 2026 and intends to register imports, which is how a later duty reaches backwards. No duty exists and none can before 24 April 2027. On one 20-foot container the exposure runs from nothing to a five-figure bill.
